About Us

The Notts & District Guild is a non-profit making association which meets once a month so that our members can meet like-minded people to enhance knowledge and exchange ideas. We try to encourage each other to try new designs, techniques and craft skills. With approximately 35 members, with a range of skills running from the novice to professional, we actively encourage new members of any age, race or sex. We believe anyone with an interest in the Guild and the craft will be of benefit to our membership.

Membership Fees

We encourage potential new members to come to two Guild meetings before committing themselves to paying the membership fee. The current annual fee is £20 (2012) from 1 November to 31 October each year, being the date of our AGM. Attendance at a Guild meeting is £3.50.

Association Objectives

The objectives of the Association are the preservation and improvement of the craftsmanship in handweaving, spinning and dyeing for the benefit of the public and the promotion in such craftsmanship.
